While in Ancient times the red thread was considered to be the symbol of bloodline and kinship, now the problem of disunity appeared and became the most important one. According to the research, the red thread is a symbolic amulet object based on the need to have a sacred connection with the family, close people and society. Modern artists have a wider interpretation of this idea trying to make a point that all humans are despite the differences in nationality, religion, age, hobbies, humans are socially united therefore there shouldn’t be any feud and dislikes between people.

The aim goal of the project is the creation of a fashion clothing-amulet collection, based on the red thread symbol being the protection object and the reflection of social and family connection. This project aims to create a fashion collection of clothing-amulet where elements of red thread act as a charm: embroidery, weaving, knots, and fabric dyeing with red pigment. To reflect the involvement with family using family photo archives, project designer's family members' artistic works. The social focus of the project lies in creating one fabric for this collection by people of different gender and age to symbolize the unification of these previously not connected people into one family. This diploma project consists of a clothing collection containing seven final looks made of exclusively created fabric and styles, textile dyeing, and accessories that correlate with the project’s concept. Every outfits has a colour accent on the left side. 
 «Nauz» - in Slavic culture is a charm in a form of a knot, tied in a special way.  

The desire of a person to wear an object of amulet related to the need to have a sacred connection with the family, with close people, but also to have protection.
It is important for me to study my grandfather's craft (weaving from a willow branches) and continue researching the history of art and ethnicities. Thus, keeping in touch with the family, with native places and people close.
The Color scheme of each look has a common peculiarity – the predominance of the red color on the left side.
